Space Boogie's unapologetic gangsta rap in the West Coast's rich West Coast tradition continues, with executive producer and chief beat writer Fred Wreck playing Dr. Reed also happens to be Kurupt's fiancee, which helps explain her appearance on the album's conceivably saccharine first single, It's Over, a tumultuous piece of commercial fluff that wouldn't belong on a Rugrats soundtrack, but it wouldn't appear off place on a Rugrats track. Kurupt's third solo album Smoke Oddessey received a slew of accolades for Space Boogie: Smoke Oddessey, his third solo album.
